There is at least one case of a member here ordering a CD from an obscure little band from my country because he liked their lyrics which I had started to upload. Probably the first disc they sold overseas In a few cases I have made contact to bands or songwriters when I had trouble transcribing a song and the ones I contacted didn't have anything against their lyrics being published and translated here, instead they corrected my errors in the transcription.

Well, my friend I guess Dutch is free! I don't like that accusations of plagiarism against me aren't being defended with relevant reasons or arguments. It seems several people have looked at all three translations, and some seem to think that they are suspiciously similar, while others seem to think that they are not.

Therefore, the perceived plagiarism here isn't something obvious that doesn't require explanation, and you should give real non-subjective reasons as to why you think I plagiarized the other two translations. The only reasons I'm hearing are that there is a pre-existing translation, and that my translation isn't better than the original one.

Neither have anything to do with plagiarism. Here you're talking about how we should respect each other on this site, yet you have no problem accusing me of stealing someone's work without providing a legitimate reason or explanation. If you're so sure you're right, please give me the benefit of the doubt and explain to me why I'm wrong, so I can then in turn defend myself or see where I've made a mistake.

If the problem is just that I made an additional translation, I can perhaps see why you think there should be only one translation of each song per language, depending on how you interpret the purpose of the site. I don't agree with it, but at least I understand and respect your point.

But that's not plagiarism. As an afterthought, I think it wouldn't annoy me as much if you just said "I think this is plagiarism" and admitting that it's merely your opinion. But you're claiming to know that it's plagiarized, and I don't see how you could unless you knew what I was thinking when I wrote or didn't write, as you seem to think this translation. Excuse me from intervening, but why are you calling Questionfinder a plagiarist? Not to mention that in cases where the author of a translation isn't active which is true in Steena's and phillipj's cases , it's allowed to add a new translation.

I agree with gabrihylian. The first translation had some mistakes, which totally allows new translations. It's completely uncalled-for to do that and to call this third translation 'disrespectful' just because there are two others.

It's allowed to add multiple translations of the same song into the same language, since one's interpretation can vary from that of one other. There have been cases where someone else translated a very song I had already translated sometimes they did a job better than me , so why would their work be deleted?
